PET CT in Central London
Architect: Sonnemann Toon Architects
Contractor: Collins Construction
A compete refurbishment was completed including new MEPH throughout to create a PET / SPECT CT suite to the lower ground floors, reception and pharmacy to the ground. Due to the RPA report on shielding, a review of the layout was instructed by Colin, employed as Lead Director and QS by the main Contractor, to explore the options of swapping the PET and SPECT CT’s together with alternative construction solutions of the hot bays to minimise the amount of lead required in the build. The overall effect saved our client over £500k in shielding costs.
